How do I pay?
We accept cash or online payment in the form of PayPal or Credit Card. If you pay for your reel in cash, we will pay your sales tax (duplication excluded).

Is my reel going to look as good as my original content?
Many people ask this question because content can lose quality when its captured, compressed or both. While content quality greatly depends on the medium it comes on, we will produce your project at the best quality levels possible. Remember, the better your original content, the higher quality your finished product.

What media types can you work with?
Below is a list of acceptable media types starting with the highest quality:

Full resolution media files (.mov)
DV Cam or Mini DV
DVD
Compressed media files (.mp4 .wmv)
VHS

If you have professional media types (ie. HD, Digi-Beta, Beta-SP) please have this content converted to an acceptable media type.

So you accept VHS tape?
Yes. While the quality on this format is significantly lower than digital formats, we will maintain its quality as much as possible. We also offer a VHS to DVD transfer service which virtually eliminates the degradation of your VHS content. See our <rates> for more details.

Do you keep a backup copy of my project in case I lose my master copy?
If you purchase a 'Standard' Reel, we'll keep a copy of your reel and all your content for 30 DAYS from purchase. After 30 days, this content is deleted from our drives. PLEASE NOTE: Store your original content with care. This includes the DVD's, CD's, tapes or other media types you may have your work stored on. Keeping this media clearly labeled and organized will make for easier and faster edits now and in the future.

I have a really specific idea of how I want my reel done. Can I be there with you as you edit my project?
We understand the desire to have a hand in the editing process; and in fact you do. While we do not have our clients in front of the computer with us, we send you a web-link to your project for viewing and give you a chance to request changes before your reel is finalized.

Can we meet?
Of course! We are avaiable for consults. We're also available at 323.909.1212 during regular business hours or at info(at)digitaltred(dot)com.

How do I get my original content to you? Once my reel is complete, how do I get it and my original content back?
For all material exchange, we also use a public venue (ie. coffee shop or Kinkos). We can make arrangements with a courier service if preferred for an additional fee. For customers outside of the LA Metro area, standard shipment methods are used.

What's the difference between your 'Standard' and 'Advanced' Reel types?
We offer two types of reel formats. The Standard Reel is a visual resume of your work and generally the format of choice for Actors and Directors. It opens with your name, plays through your work, and ends with your contact info. Music can be added to the opening and/or ending of the reel.

The Advanced Reel is a more heavily produced, expressive showcase of you and your work. Generally, music and more creative editing is added throughout your reel to give it more of a cinematic feel. This format is often preferred for DP reels, Producer reels and others who want a montage of their work.

I've had my reel for a couple weeks now and want to add a scene or two. Are you going to charge me?
If you return your 'Standard' Reel to us within the first 30 days of purchase, we will add up to (2) additional scenes at no charge. After 30 days, any wanted changes to your existing 'Standard' Reel will be considered a new reel purchase and all of your original content will be needed. 'Advanced' Reels cannot be altered once they have been completed and purchased. Any wanted changes to an existing 'Advanced' Reel will be considered a new reel purchase.

How do I make copies of my reel?
We offer competitive pricing for DVD duplication in multiples of 10 with black or color printing. Visit our <pricing page> for more details.
